Winter at The Trace

There isn't much to say except The Trace has fallen into winter! I was super thrilled to be able to run over there and explore. Words alone can't describe the breathtaking scenic views that Kylie has created. Best to look at pictures and take a visit for yourself! Get Your Nerd On!

 

Geeks and Nerds fair is in full force! The fair is full of items that are sure to tickle the fancy of just about every kind of nerd or geek there is. Yes, there are different kinds. What are some of the differences you may ask? Since most fairs consist mostly of clothes, we can start there. Nerds tend to dress more along the lines of slacks and bow ties with buttons ups. Geeks always venture into more of their interest and like to wear it. Their favorite pair of jeans with a graphic t-shirt and sneakers. Geeks also tend to venture into more video games and tv shows where Nerds go into more academics. Call it what you like but I tend to think I am personally more a Nerd than a Geek. What are you??? 

The fair is great for shopping and even offers a lounge to be able to hang out in to catch your breath! The fair opened up on November 24th so it had had some time to calm down traffic wise. It runs until December 8th so you still have some time left to make it.

 Pictured above, I am head to toe nerd. I should say my version of nerd which I haven't heard complaints of yet. The sweater, tank, and skirt are all made by *Fishy Strawberry*. There are several colors to pick from but this was my favorite combo. I paired this outfit with /Wasabi Pills/ Maya Mesh Hair and SYSY's Stockings which are SLink compatible. You can find everything I am wearing at the fair except my shoes. For these sexy heels you need to hop on over to Shoetopia and visit [L. Warwick]. I got an A+ from my teacher on this one.

After class I figured I would get a little more comfortable for my Nerd out... Definitely different than geeking out. TOTALLY! So above I am wearing the Embossed Sweater in gray made by ISON. If you view this sweater at the fair, you will see their is another version which has SL University stamped on the front of the sweater. Lets face it though... I couldn't do that. I still will yell ROLL TIDE any day :) You could possibly wear this over sized sweater as just a dress but I preferred (because of the current rl weather) to go a warmer route. I paired this with my Maitreya leggings and boots which are NOT at the fair but are a personal favorite. Run along now and GEEK or NERD out at the fair before time runs out!!! TOOTLES

Putting on the Ritz

Welcome home! Isn't that what you want your furniture to say when you walking into the door? You want to be able to either collapse into a snug chair after a long day of work or hang out with friends on the weekends chatting or watching TV. Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Want to get lost in the winter wonderland of it all? Let's face it, winter is here even if we like it or not. No, it isn't Thanksgiving yet BUT it is still cold and because of that most people like to enjoy the winter white side of SL also. There is no better place than Christmas at Winter Holiday Village. There is plenty to do and see and so little time. Derek and I spent a good few hours walking around and we still weren't able to see it all.

When you first TP into the sim, you land a few meters from the Ice skating lake. That was the first activity we came to besides almost being hit by one of the sleigh rides coming down the walk way. Watch out for those, it didn't end well for Derek at first. Once I consoled him from being run over so rudely, we fitted our skates and headed out on the ice. You can either venture out on your own and glide around or you can use their already pre made skating path which takes you all around the ice while you sit back and watch the screen. Towards the end of that path is this gorgeous tunnel which is pictured below.

There were plenty of sights to see along the ice skating path and walking around on the roads.

I started to get a little nervous as we ventured down what seemed to be a darker and darker path. I knew this wasn't the way to the sleigh rides but you can't tell a man anything. The bears were getting hungrier by the minute SOOO we decided to call it quits and go warm up by the fire when my brother Cam and his gf Tonya decided to join us. After a little while of chatting it was time to log out of my second life and back into my real life but there was so much more to see and do at this sim I am sure we will all be back. I hear there are snowball fight areas and the sleigh ride is suppose to be fun. 10 points for every avi you hit on the trail or something like that. Hope you are able to make it to this amazing sim. I can't help myself... Fatpack Discount room is back and for two whole weeks I get to play with all the goodies! These items from blah.BLAH.blah being NO exception! The first I want to show you is the mesh Kimmie Skirt pictured above. It comes with a wearable hud to change to 12 different textures. I had a ton of fun with the hud and making different outfits but again... I go to red. Very great quality! Pictured below are the Rock Angel Stilleto Boots that come in a fatpack also made by blah.BLAH.blah. These are the ruby boots and I know my family will agree.... the angel just suites me :))) Innocent look!

Again... keeping with the blah.BLAH.blah theme, I switch to a more elegant look with their Amanda Gown (pictures below) which is also featured at the Fatpack week discount room. This stunning dress has a sweetheart neckline and a plunging back which leaves a little to the imagination. This dress comes with a wearable color changing hud so you can have 15 dresses in ONE! How awesome!!! Definitely worth every linden. Run along and grab it up before the two weeks are up! TOOTLES

Petit Chat and *Siria's Design* @ Fatpack Discount Room

There are so many goodies at the Fatpack Discount Room.... The one I am showing you today is made by Petit Chat called Dreaming in red. She offers 3 colors in her fatpack. I have a soft spot for red. The skirt is mesh and comes in 5 different sizes for the best fit. I paired this outfit with the Lace boots offer by *Siria's Design* The fatpack comes with these boots in black, beige, and red. They really are a lovely design with some great textures. I wanted to make sure you could see them really well so I just hiked up the skirt a little to give you a view. :) More to come from this round at the Fatpack discount room... TOOTLES

Fatpack Week is back!!!

Another round of Fatpack week is here and I am super excited! They took a break for the Halloween event but are back now in full force. For those of you who have been before you need to update your LM to the new LM HERE. The first item I wanted to show is a tad different than my usual. Pictured above is the white wings offered in the Wings Multicolor Fatpack by ~# RM Style #~. The wings have a soft look to them giving a real enchanted feeling. I tried on all of the colors and fell in love with them all, but the white ones show up better in the picture. Pictured below, I am wearing the Don't Cry Cotton eyes that come in a Fatpack by Strawberry Jam. The eyes have a hint of water to them giving a very realistic look. [Gos] Bordello and Rack Poses

Heading back over to Shoetopia, I had a little more time to check out all of the Gacha items set out. Above I took a break from opening boxes by laying over the Gacha Pose #2 offered by Rack Poses. The Pose comes with the giant shoe prop and is so playful and fun I couldn't help myself. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOTTTTT ask me how many times I played to get the poses I wanted. :) There are a ton of lovely poses available from all different venders and you will be seeing them more I am sure. Also, Pictured below is one of the new releases offered from [Gos] Boutique. Bordello Bonnie in Black is a new edgier shoe which I was shocked to see but very excited that I finally had an amazing pair of shoes to go with the bang bang dress I got a while back from :V.e. Always happy when I can find a piece to complete an outfit. I truly hope that you are able to fight the lag to get into Shoetopia. Well worth the wait and also for an amazing cause. TOOTLES!!

Slink Has Done It Again

Shoetopia is now open and the FIRST place I wanted to make a stop was at the  Shoetopia 1 sim for the newest release from Slink. These feet are the High version of Slinks already existing Medium and Flat barefeet. The Slink folder also comes with blender layers if needed and a basic nails HUD. I was lucky and my skin from Belleza came with appliers so I don't have to fool with getting the color JUST right. Honestly I believe the appliers has been the best thing since mesh clothes to hit the grid. Really revolutionized the current state of women shoes.

To go with the new amazing high feet, Slink has also released a few new shoes attachments. The two I am going to show is the Slink Priscilla Plateau shoes in white (above) and the Slink Demi Boots in Chocolate (below). The Priscilla Plateau Slink shoes come in a silver looking white but can honestly match just about any outfit. The Demi boots comes with a Hud that allows you to either keep the toecap or not. I chose to wear the boots without to show off my pretty slink toes. Both of these shoes contain so much detail that you really have to see them up close to appreciate them. Off to prance around Shoetopia to see what else I can get into :) TOOTLES

ShoetopiaSL is now OPEN!!!

Shoetopia has finally opened!!! I am crazy excited to be able to get into those shops and see what all kinds of goodies I can find for myself but first I want to show and point out a few things.

Everyone of course will be clicking their buttons constantly trying to TP into an incredibly full sim. Before you TP please check a few things. Please make sure to remove ALL Huds and scripts as much as possible. Nothing is more aggravating than getting into a sim and being stripped down to nothing but my newbie clothes and walk and seeing someone walk by with all the bells and whistles still attached. Remember you are lagging everyone around you if you do not strip down!!!! Be courteous to others shoppers and GO NOOB!

Second, if you are looking for certain shops and only those shops please take a look at the map provided....

I was able to pull this map of the heavenly shoe fair from the ShoetopiaSL Blog. I like to spend my time looking at everything... eventually! Please be mindful of your time spent at the fair. Everyone is dying to get inside and if you spent time chatting or going AFK then that is less time that others are able to come into the sims. Pick out your favorite stores first and then come back later for the rest.

Sarcasm of Life

Well for the past week I have felt like I am on my death bed... No seriously just really sick and finally getting to go to the doctor today. I guess my foul feeling has made me a tad more sarcastic since I don't feel like dealing with people or things when I don't feel good. This post won't be about fashion or about a place that is so amazing I just take a zillion pictures and force you to look at them this time. Today I wanted to share some of my favorite one liners that make me giggle and feel just a tad better... Here it goes!

Sorry...I couldn't hear you over all the f*ck I don't give.

I hate it when I don't forward chain messages and I die the next day. I'm a few minutes late to class? Please, stare at me like I just killed five people. Sorry, honey. Sarcasm falls from my mouth as easily as stupidity falls from yours... Zombies are looking for brains. Don't worry. You're safe. Sarcasm: Because screaming at you about how dumb you are and taking a brick and smacking you across the face with it, is considered rude... Of course I can keep a secret. Its the people I tell it to who cant. Whatever it is that is eating you, it must be suffering horribly. Anyone who believes that men are the equal of women has never seen a man trying to wrap a Christmas present. I believe in luck: how else can you explain the success of those you don't like? Due to recent government cutbacks and until further notice, the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off.

I work hard because millions on welfare depend on me! Do you want me to accept you as you are, or do you want me to lie to myself and try to like you? AHHHH I could keep going for days but my head is starting to hurt from laughing so much. I have decided I am going to put a bit of sarcasm on the feeds daily. You may not care.... but I figure if it will make people giggle to themselves then why the heck not. If you get offended easily then this probably isn't the place for you to be and especially if you can't begin to even laugh at yourself! TOOTLES

Pets in SL

For some time I have considered getting a pet in SL. I see various people with them and have thought they were rather cute. I have struggled with spending the lindens on something that is fake and I just shove in my inventory. Yes, it is a pixel pet just like a pixel pair of shoes I would put away when not wearing but somehow I separate the two. I am not here to get into a debate about pets and all that so calm down!!! Regardless when I saw this cutie I couldn't resist!!! I want to personally introduce my new pet squirrel Nibbles... or Nib for short! Yes most were thinking cat or dog when I first started talking BUT why go with someone that is normal? SL is after all about doing things that are out of the norm that everyone puts restrictions on. THAT is a subject for another day which I am sure Nibs will be there for as well. This adorable fella is called the Steampunk Albino Squirrel from !Ohmai and can be found at the November round of Collabor88. Now that I have walked up hill both ways in the snow to get to C88 for this round (crashes included), I am going to go chill out by the tree so Nibs can get use to his new home :) TOOTLES!!!

3rd Anniversary

There has to be something said for a designer who gives out gifts to people who just can't purchase lindens. Gizza is usually at the top of the freebie list when I meet a new avatar asking for help. Their styles can range from more fashion forward to very simple. They have been so generous and still on their 3rd Anniversary are giving back to their fellow SLers. The gown that I have on is the current group gift for Gizza's 3rd Anniversary. It has a mesh skirt portion. Also included is this beautiful pearl necklace. I think I need to go out dancing now so TOOTLES!!

[Imagination] Guana City

The name Imagination really rings true when you enter into this amazing sim. I have seen others post and comment on this place so I decided to take a visit for myself and I was NOT disappointed. You start off by TPing into this water logged place. Reminds me of where I grew up. There are stepping stones and bridges leading you along a journey through this breathtaking sim.

Even as you gaze up into the sky you see what seems to be a floating island. A home sits atop this island and I can not help but think about how amazing it would be to be able to look out over this sim every time you step out your front door.

The stony path leads you to this cascading tunnel of trees where the sun peaking through the leaves gives you just the slightest feeling of warmth along with the breeze coming in from the water. Finally, at the very end which seems like the worlds end, there is a piano. Which reminds me of how it seems we can all put some mood or feeling that we have to music.

Ricielli Halloween Hunt

Yes Halloween is over BUT Ricielli is going full force still. You still have a chance to get over and gather up all the ghost that you see. Personally I just added a ton of items to open and I am THRILLED!! My favorite part of a hunt is trying on all of the goodies. If you somehow miss this hunt I am sure you can find it later also. While looking around for the ghosts (which are in plain sight) I came across a TON of past hunts including the birthday hunt that just happened on the Ricielli sim. All the hunt items are 15L each and it can add up if you get all of the items but I think it is well worth it. These items are a lot more if you were to buy them individually. Ricielli is so generous in gifting so many items for us gals. Maybe one day they may do a mens line? Would be awesome to see some nice mens clothes like this or I should say MORE men items. Sorry just a small push from a women who is tired of doing a hunt every time I try to help a male friend but that is for another blog on another day. Hope you enjoy all of these amazing items. Dead Dollz Amata Immortale

This gorgeous white gown is now tainted! Santa wouldn't allow me to be Santa. Why do men always think a women can't possibly do their job. I deserve it! I slaved away in his factories all year and for what? A COOKIE! Damn if I will put up with this. Santa you had it coming!

You may think I have flown off my rocker, but I assure you that I have not. What I have done though is enter into the Dead Dollz picture contest. Just run over to Dead Dollz and join their in world group to receive this dress as a gift. Wear the dress and tell YOUR story. Why is your beautiful dress ruined with blood. It's Cold Outside

The new fall and winter collection has come out at {Indyra}!!! I have never been one for fur really but the Claudette outfit (pictured above) presents the fur in a very classic way. Leggings and a tank in several colors come together along with a fur shrug in several colors as well. I am currently wearing the grey shrug and the creme top. I felt like I needed a hot HOT cup of coffee to go with this outfit.

Shorts!?!?! Shorts in the winter? YES if I do say so myself! This Britton outfit by {Indyra} is just my cup of tea. The tights along with the shorts gives it a slimming sex appeal while keeping the legs warm against the cool air. If you notice I took this picture inside just to make sure you couldn't see the goosebumps. This outfit comes with the mesh shorts and belt. You have the option of using a slimming arm shirt or a Bell blouse. I picked the Bell blouse to go with my ever so wide curves. (sarcasm) The scarf also is included in this outfit to make sure you know that it's suppose to be for winter. Off to do more therapy shopping... Tootles!
